Hand Transplant
Professor Owen was the originater, and with Professor Dubernard of France, the co-ordinator of the first successful Hand Transplantation by the International Team of microsurgeons in Lyon 23 September 1998. The same team performed the first DOUBLE Hand Transplant successfully on 13th January 2000 and another DOUBLE Hand Transplantation in May 2003.
